One-year-old Beau is still waiting for the right home. Since his rescue, Beau has been quite active. This handsome boy has been in a couple of foster homes, while he was decompressing from his scary shelter experience. It has taken some time for us to understand what he must have been through during his first year of life.
Beau is quite friendly and playful. He has learned to sit, what a walk is for, and how to play nicely with others. He loves to greet others while out for his walk. He wants to be a constant companion for his owner.
At the same time, periodically though, Beau still needs guidance and reassurance. When he is uncertain, he will go into his crate on his own. It is his safe place. Because of his earlier life, he sometimes resource guards. This behavior has improved, and with further training, he will get better. Beau needs funding to continue his training, in order to be ready for his new home.
We rely on the generosity of animal lovers in our community to provide for the adoptable pets in our care. On average, it costs $300 to care for a dog until it finds its forever home. Please consider making a contribution to help us continue to rescue dogs like Beau. Our organization has been approved for exemption from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
