Who We Are
The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that connects adoptable pets with loving people and the resources they need to be a family for life. The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County connects adoptable pets with loving people and the resources they need to be a family for life. Our vision is a community that cares so deeply for the welfare of its pets that it finds shelter euthanasia not only unnecessary, but unimaginable. PAC upholds it’s belief and the slogan “Pets. Family. For Life.” by upholding each of the following standards to it’s fullest potential.
The facility at The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County is geared to a contemporary, home-like, adoption-guaranteed facility in Lake Forest, California. PAC accept pets from local animal control agencies and animal welfare organizations, reducing their operational stress and overcrowding. Some of our pets are in foster homes at this time and are not at our facility. PAC allows people to foster our animals. All pets under PAC care receive food, water, shelter, medical attention, and socialization from staff and volunteers in an open, stress-free environment that keeps them happy, healthy, and adoptable. PAC ensures successful placements and reduce returns by matching pets with highly compatible people and families.
Vaccinations and Mandatory Sterilization
One of the most important factors about PAC is our commitment to keeping all of our pets with up-to-date vaccinations, microchip information, and mandatory sterilization. All pets receive mandatory sterilization, up-to-date vaccinations, and an identification microchip, regardless of where they have come from.
Our volunteers are what make PAC operate. We offer volunteer opportunities for adults, teens, and kids that can help them develop new skills, make friends, build networking connections, and give them a new perspective on life. Our volunteers have put in hours of service to serve not only the community by adopting our pets to the right owners, but the animal community as well, reducing the number of animals in shelter homes and ensuring that even pets with prior or existing special needs have a shot at a good home. PAC offers regular public education courses taught by volunteers and advocates to encourage humane pet care and responsible pet ownership, and we support sterilization programs to reduce pet overpopulation, to further support the community.

PAC provides counseling and placement services to potential adopters, assisting them in selecting a breed or blend whose characteristics are a suitable match for their home and lifestyle, and helping them to locate an adoptable pet through our referral network.
